On one account I had to use a hammer to get first soil test. After aggressive Gypsum - Kmag applications to correct Base saturation I can push soil probe down easy on this heavy clay.
Other companies using the old NPK models are going out of business. With Texas drought and heat my turfgrass performance and recovery works because of managing the soil. Base saturation and balancing C:N fertility is critical to the health of plants in very high stress environment. Most of all, my customers expect me to be on the cutting edge when they hire a professional. Not just do what I've always done.

Do you independent consulting? I have worked with Joel years ago but felt there was a slight conflict of interest there. I aways liked his explanation for his recommendations. I see you are affiliated with Logan Labs. I have my testing done by AgSource and have recently recieved my latest sample results. After 32 yrs as Supt. I still can't seem to read them and get desired results. I would be willing to send my samples to Logan Labs in the future but for now I'm looking for help with the results I have right now. I plan to also re-test some areas.

Joel,
glad to see you have a website geared towards the iPad. I am getting great feed back from superintendents that went to Columbia. Can not wait until you come to Myrtle Beach.

Joel,

I have to say your new website is not only much improved, it looks great and is very informative. I will have no problems recommending clients to take a look and get all of your great information at the tip of their fingers. Easy to access and easy to understand. Keep up the great work!

Joel, met you in Columbia. VERY informative. Plan to initiate your ideas/programs on one of my 2 courses in 2012 and facilitate healthier turfgrass. Thanks for your sharing your passion with me and others!
